Abstract
Ureteral gunshot injuries are rare. The condition is recognized early during urgent surgical exploration of these patients or later in the postoperative period when ileus, fever or urine leakage from incision appears. The main goal in the treatment of these patients is preserve the renal function and late diagnosis may lead to various complications and higher morbidity. A gunshot ureteral injury is presented, where the lesion was not noticed at the first exploration but later diagnosed at the apparition of a gluteal fistula. Ureteral injuries due to gunshot are discussed.
