Abstract
The aim of this study was to compare the pressure specific bladder volume and total bladder capacity in the evaluation of bladder storage function.
We evalualed 31 children with ureterohydronephrosis due to bladder storage dysfunction, between June 1996 and May 1998. Total bladder capacity and pressure bladder volume were determined by urodynamically and these parameters were evaluated by normograms
Pressure specific bladder volume was found less than normal in all patients (Sensitivity 100 76). However, total bladder capacity was found normal 6 patients (Sensitivity 80.6 94).
Pressure specific bladder volume is more reliable parameter, compared to total bladder capacity in determina- tion of bladder storage function.
